This tale has been done before, and done better (see John Keegan’s History of World War II as an example. Medium, 186 pages, illustrated, hard back. **This, the earlier of the two current books with the same title and very similar subtitles, concentrates on the character of the man, what drove him to rise from farmer's lad to great entrepreneur and MP, and what led him to sink into disgrace. Most executive authors are long on experience but short on insight (and draw blanks when it comes to the introspection that makes for great autobiography).
